Giá khí đốt tại châu Âu giảm sau khi Tổng thống Putin cho biết khả năng hợp tác năng lượng giữa Mỹ và Nga có thể đảm bảo nguồn cung năng lượng giá rẻ cho châu Âu.
Giá khí đốt tự nhiên tương lai ở châu Âu giảm mạnh sau khi Tổng thống Nga Vladimir Putin cho biết một thỏa thuận hợp tác năng lượng tiềm năng giữa với Mỹ có thể thúc đẩy dòng khí đốt của Nga sang châu Âu.
“Nếu, giả sử, Nga và Mỹ đồng ý hợp tác năng lượng, thì đường ống dẫn khí đốt cho châu Âu có thể được đảm bảo”, Tổng thống Putin phát biểu tại một cuộc họp báo ở Moscow vào thứ Năm (13/3).
“Điều này sẽ có lợi cho châu Âu, vì họ sẽ lại nhận được khí đốt giá rẻ của Nga”, ông Putin nói.
Trước cuộc xung đột, Nga là nhà cung cấp khí đốt lớn nhất châu Âu. Giá khí đốt chuẩn ở châu Âu đã giảm tới 5% sau phát biểu của ông Putin.
Khả năng khí đốt đường ống của Nga quay trở lại châu Âu vẫn chưa chắc chắn. EU đang soạn thảo một kế hoạch nhằm loại bỏ dần nhiên liệu hóa thạch của Nga vào năm 2027, mặc dù có một số lời kêu gọi nối lại nhập khẩu khí đốt Nga do lo ngại giá năng lượng cao đang đè nặng lên nền kinh tế.
Trong khi đó, một thỏa thuận hòa bình chấm dứt cuộc chiến kéo dài ba năm có thể sẽ là điều kiện tiên quyết cho hợp tác năng lượng. Tổng thống Putin cho biết hôm thứ Năm rằng ông muốn thảo luận về lệnh ngừng bắn được đề xuất ở Ukraine với ông Donald Trump, đồng thời nhấn mạnh bất kỳ lệnh ngừng bắn nào cũng phải dẫn đến một giải pháp lâu dài cho cuộc chiến.
Đường ống Nord Stream dẫn khí đốt trực tiếp từ Nga tới Đức đã bị hư hại trong các vụ nổ vào tháng 9/2022. Một trong hai nhánh của đường ống Nord Stream 2 vẫn còn nguyên vẹn nhưng vẫn chưa được Đức chứng nhận đưa vào sử dụng. Việc khôi phục hoạt động trung chuyển khí đốt qua Ukraine sẽ đòi hỏi những cuộc đàm phán kéo dài giữa Gazprom và đối tác Naftogaz (Ukraine).
Theo Chris Weafer, giám đốc điều hành của công ty tư vấn Macro-Advisory, Nga có thể sẽ giảm giá khí đốt để lấy lại quyền tiếp cận một số thị trường. “Nhưng sẽ không có chuyện quay lại kinh doanh như thường lệ. Không ai ở châu Âu hay Nga mong đợi sẽ thấy khối lượng trở lại mức trước năm 2022”.
